Brunswick BVP Copperhead

by lennyjr on Oct.24, 2008, under reviews

I recently drilled a Brunswick Copperhead for a customer. Pin below the fingers in the middle and cg directly under the pin (1-2″ pin). The reaction that he got was clean thru the heads, good roll in the mid lane and a controllable arc on the back end (box finish).

I polished it for him and the reaction he got was about 2′ more skid and more of a snap on the back end.

I would recommend this ball to any looking for a performance ball at mid performance price.

Bowling Shoes

by lennyjr on Oct.10, 2008, under Uncategorized, reviews

What bowling shoes do you wear? Do you wear the basic universal shoes ( like Dexter Men's Ricky II Black or Dexter Women's Raquel III White/Blue or performance shoe ( like 3G Bowling Tour Ultra Black Men's Right Handed or Dexter Men's SST 8 .

The difference between the basic bowling shoes and the performance bowling shoes is, the basic shoes are made with slide soles on both shoes.  Performance bowling shoes have a slide sole on the left shoe and a rubber sole on the right shoe, assuming you are right handed (they are reversed if you are left handed).

The advantage to having performance bowling shoes is that you have the ability on most of them to change the sole to adapt to different approaches (wood or synthetic approaches). So you can adjust your slide weather you want more or less slide depending on your style of bowling.  It also give better footing and leverage at the foul line because of the rubber sole on the push off shoe.

So if you are serious about bowling you should definitely consider getting yourself a pair of performance shoes.

by lennyjr on Sep.20, 2008, under reviews

I recently drilled the Storm Rapid Fire Pearl for a customer. The layout that i used was a basic one pin 3″ from pap cg in middle of grip. He was looking for a ball for drier lane conditions and that was the reaction the he got. The ball gave him good length and a controllable backend reaction.

Kinetic

by lennyjr on Sep.12, 2008, under reviews

I had my Track Kinetic for about a year. I drilled it with the recommended layout. This ball is great, very predictable, clean thru the heads, good midlane and good movement on the backend. This is my go to ball when the heads are hooking. Able to play almost anywhere on the lane ( from straight to hooking the whole lane).

Thanks

Grand Illusion

by lennyjr on Sep.09, 2008, under reviews

I recently drilled a Roto-Grip Grand Illusion for a customer. She wanted a ball that would get thru the head, read the mid lane and give a good movement on the back end. So i drilled it with the “B” drilling on the sheet(which is 5″ pin to pap).

The ball did exactly what she wanted and was very please with it. I would recommend this ball to anyone who is looking for a ball for medium conditions.

.

I have 2 of the Roto-Grip 2 Ball Tote Bag. Because i find it easier to use when i travel to tournaments cause it takes up less space and easier to take from lane to lane when crossing different pairs in tournament play. I would recommend this type of bag for anybody who is traveling to tournament

Hammer Razyr

by lennyjr on Sep.04, 2008, under reviews

I drilled up the Hammer Razyr  for a customer the other day. I use the recommend drilling for the ball. What a great reaction it gave him. The ball gave him good length and gave him plenty of movement on the backend. He has a slow ball spend about 12-13 mph and has average amount of turn on the ball. I would recommend this ball to anybody who has a slower ball speed or anyone who needs a ball for drier lane conditions.

Jolt Particle

by lennyjr on Sep.02, 2008, under reviews

I just drilled up a Storm Jolt Particle for a customer. I layed it out with a stacked drilling with the pin under the ring finger. The reaction this ball gave us was great read in the mid lane very well with a predictable movement on the back end which makes it easy for making adjustment to the lane condition. I would recommend this ball for anybody looking for a ball to use on a med. to heavy oil condition.

Just drilled Ebonite NVD for a customer. This ball really hook a ton ( even for this bowler who throws a fullroller). The Ebonite NVD read the mid lane very well and gave him strong backend. I would recommend this ball to anyone who looking for a ball for medium to heavy oil lane conditions.
